Reckless

Twenty-eight-year-old Winter Hamilton gets into another fight with her husband Rob Valentine. Rob is angry with her for taking another shift at the hospital in Chestnut Springs. Winter thought she was in love with Rob but has since learned who he really is. Years ago, he emotionally abused and sexually harassed her sister Summer Hamilton. He was Summer’s doctor when she was underage and then started a sexual relationship with her. After they broke up, Rob stalked Summer. Winter is angry with herself for letting Rob hurt Summer sister and manipulate Winter, too. She hurriedly packs her things, vowing never to come back.

On the way to Chestnut Springs General Hospital, Winter tries to remain calm. She tells herself she can start over without Rob or her mother Marina Hamilton—who also works at the hospital where she and Rob practice medicine. Winter plans to fix her relationship with Summer once she gets to Chestnut Springs, too. They have a complicated history but she hopes she can make things right. She calls Summer and says she’s on her way to town. Summer invites Winter to an Eaton family dinner at Wishing Well Ranch that evening.
