2. The Lady calls the scar a sign of fire (but not the Sign of fire). It was made when Will’s arm brushed the Sign of iron on his belt when the Dark was outside the doors of the hall. The scar is shiny like a burn. (Chapter 10)
3. If Will does, the Dark will take over the world, which would be much worse for everyone than just losing his sister. He has to choose to save the world instead. (Chapter 11)
4. Hawkin is no more used to the Dark now that Will has all six Signs. Hawkin was supposed to get the signs from Will, and he failed. The Light will sometimes sacrifice a single individual for the greater good the way Will did with Mary, but the Dark only cares about how it can use people. (Chapter 12)
