Oliver's reckless decision to pass a note to a passing couple leads directly to their deaths, and his paranoia soon turns him violently against his own friends. After Red confesses she is a key eyewitness in a mob prosecution, Oliver expels her from the RV and then forces Maddy to impersonate her, resulting in Maddy being shot. The true architect of the night is revealed to be Catherine Lavoy, a corrupt official who engineered everything to guarantee her own rise to power.
