This pool traces the pivotal decisions and revelations that shaped Fox's predatory career and ultimately ended it. Fox's careful engineering of his Langhorne hiring—using insider information from his ally Katy Cady—illustrates how he exploited personal relationships and institutional blind spots to gain access to new victims. Once embedded at Langhorne, Fox escalates his abuse while maintaining careful social cover, targeting Genevieve and Eunice through a calculated cycle of punishment, flattery, and manipulation. Small but critical moments—a panicked birthday, a deflected romantic request, Mary Ann's unexplained absence—show Fox's machinery failing as his targets grow less predictable. The investigation's turning points reveal a missing murder weapon and Demetrius as a key figure, while Zwender makes the moral choice to release a man he knows is protecting someone else. The pool ends not with the official case closure but with Zwender's quiet act of grace toward Demetrius, whose needless sacrifice Zwender refuses to accept.
