This pool traces the book's central storyline, beginning with John Doerr's investment in Google and his introduction of OKRs to founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin. It follows the historical roots of OKRs at Intel, including the legendary Operation Crush campaign that used the framework to defeat Motorola. Moving forward, it captures how major organizations like the Gates Foundation, Google Chrome, and YouTube used OKRs and stretch goals to pursue audacious objectives. The pool covers the pivotal shift from annual performance reviews to the continuous CFR framework and the cultural transformation Doerr helped engineer at the ONE Campaign. It concludes with Doerr's expansive vision of OKRs as a universal tool applicable to any sector or institution.
