This pool follows the essential arc of Steve Harmon's story, from the prosecution's opening accusations to the jury's final verdict. The trial unfolds through key witness testimony—from store employee José Delgado to co-conspirator Bobo Evans—steadily building the case against Steve. A pivotal flashback late in the narrative reveals the moment King recruited Steve for the robbery, the scene at the heart of everything. The contrasting verdicts—King guilty, Steve not guilty—resolve the legal question but leave deeper moral questions unanswered. Kathy's refusal to embrace Steve after his acquittal signals that even his own lawyer may still see him as a monster.
