Tesla's Attic

Mitch’s father is in prison for designing a program that removes one penny from every bank account on Earth. Suggest why he, and not some other party, is serving time if he never ran the program himself and never collected any of the pennies.

Caitlin, Mitch, Vince, and Petula each possess one of the Tesla devices. Describe what each device does, why each is a good match for its user, and how each person benefits from using it.

Nick tells Caitlin that her humiliating experience at school is like a wildfire. What does he mean? Why does he think it’s a good thing? 

Danny’s baseball glove catches meteors; he calls them “falling stars.” Why does he call them that, and why does he try to keep catching them?

Give an example of something the Accelerati own and an example of something they do, and show how each is a sign of their immense power.

Nick thinks that, despite the Accelerati’s vast resources, he and his group have advantages over them. Describe these advantages.

Why did Tesla style his various devices to look like ordinary household items? Why does each item have slots that fit one of the other items?

Nick blames Petula for the death of Vince. Explain why he does so, and either support or refute Nick’s viewpoint in the matter.
