The discovery of a buried knife, Maá's collapse, and Queeny's rage signal that the camp's fragile order is about to break. The riot and Eli's murder leave Subhi unable to speak or act, but the weight of what he witnessed pushes him toward an impossible decision about truth and justice. Recovering slowly, Subhi receives the gift of his father's poetry and the renewed sound of his mother's voice in Rohingya. These revelations transform his grief into purpose, and he accepts his role as the carrier of his people's stories into the future.
