Moving to Aalborg, the boys create the Churchill Club, which escalates from vandalism to arson and the theft of weapons from German soldiers. Their boldest act is blowing up a German boxcar of airplane wings at a railway yard, inspiring Danish firemen to openly defy German orders on the scene. After their arrest, the boys sign confessions under pressure, quarrel and fight among themselves in their jail cell, and later endure a visit from a government official who lies about the value of their actions.
