Jimba is a former Corporal in the Police Force turned armed robber, awaiting execution alongside his friends. He views his impending death with a mixture of acceptance and underlying sadness. He asks Bana's correspondent to shed a tear for him, seemingly lacking others to mourn his passing.

The Prison Guard is the official responsible for watching Bana, Sazan, and Jimba on their final night. He is susceptible to bribery and routinely confuses the names of the condemned men. The High Judge represents the corrupt justice system of the unnamed African nation. He relies on the charade of legal proceedings to maintain power and control. His usual authority is completely undermined when the accused plead guilty and demand immediate execution, forcing him to act without his usual political theater.

The Police Superintendent is a corrupt official who accepted a bribe from Bana's crew to keep a police escort away from a payroll van. He fails to uphold his end of the bargain, resulting in a deadly shootout and the eventual capture of the robbers.

The Sex Worker is a woman Bana encountered during his earlier career. Her frank admission that she actively chose her profession causes Bana to critically evaluate his own life choices. This realization leads him to quit the Navy and eventually pursue a life of conscious crime.
