1.  The Nationalist government advocated segregated education through the passage of the Bantu Education Act and the Separate Universities Act. Providing an inferior education to Black South Africans reinforced the ideology of white supremacy and funneled Black South Africans into menial labor so that they remained in perpetual servitude to the white minority.
