In another interview with Jones, Figg explains that after his arrest, Earl Schultz, Seaside’s deputy chief of police, interrogated him for two days with minimal food and water. A prosecutor named Leslie Swan, who grew up in Seaside, then offered him a deal. If he confessed to all five murders, including Lorelei’s, the death penalty would be taken off the table. Delirious and already facing multiple life sentences for the other four murders, Figg accepted the offer. When asked who killed Lorelei if he did not, Figg recalls an unnamed man who was watching them that night.
Cole arrives in Seattle and tells her producers that she’s heading to a rehab facility in Oregon—a condition she must fulfill to continue her role in Trophy Wives. At the airport, she’s met by her co-star and friend Cecily Monaco, who offers to drive her. On the way, Cecily informs Cole that the gossip blog Reality Bitch has leaked her rehab location. She also reveals that Jordan has been cleared of embezzlement charges with help from their neighbor Lionel Roth. Cecily mentions that Lionel has become suspicious of the relationship between Jordan and his wife, Annika. Cole thinks of the $10 million infidelity clause in her prenup and the windfall she’ll receive if she can prove his infidelity.
