In an interview outtake, Jones asks Figg if he knows who killed Lorelei. Figg recalls a man at the drive-in who was obsessively watching Lorelei and her friends. When Figg confronted him, the man pointed out that the girls were only 15. Figg claimed that he hadn’t known their age and then left immediately. He describes the man as having a predator’s eyes. When Jones asks why he didn’t kill Lorelei, Figg states simply that he “didn’t feel like it” (326).

Cole is astonished when Alice Chu, the IT worker for the Seaside police, opens the cabin door. Alice asks them to come inside the cozy cabin, which she claims belongs to her boyfriend, Owen. Barb reveals that they’re looking for Lorelei’s stepbrother, Marty, as this was his last known address. Alice claims to have never heard of Marty. Barb confronts her, noting that Owen’s name isn’t on the property records.
