The narrator, a 21st-century history teacher named Rush Revere, teleports to the deck of the Mayflower in 1620. Immediately seasick, he considers time-jumping back to the present for medication. A hostile sailor confronts Revere, calling him a “Saint” and threatening to throw him overboard. The confrontation makes Revere ill, and he vomits on the sailor. Enraged, the sailor attacks Revere, who calls for help from his horse, Liberty. Liberty, who can talk, arrives and kicks the sailor into a web of nets. Confirming he can leap through time but complaining about the storm, Liberty opens a swirling time portal. Revere mounts him, and they leap through it, returning to modern-day America.
