Part 2, Chapter 33 Summary: “Helen (Now)”

Helen realizes she can use Naomi’s information that Marcus is Helen’s biological father, along with her mother Sarah’s play, Saltwater, to break the Lingate family’s united front. As she walks from a shop, Stan confronts her and admits he was the anonymous source who prompted the police to reopen the investigation into Sarah’s death.

Helen gives Stan the manuscript of Saltwater, asking him to make a copy and to ensure police are present at a ballet that evening on the island of Gallo Lungo. Ciro calls with news that his police contact is close to an arrest in Sarah’s case and is just waiting for documentation from a source. Helen tells him to have the police come to the event on Gallo Lungo. As she returns to the villa, she sees Freddy leaving with his bags for a hotel. Helen does not try to stop him.

Part 2, Chapter 34 Summary: “Helen (Now)”
