Chapter 11 Summary: “Tucker”

Waking at his teammate Fitzy’s apartment, Tucker is disappointed Sabrina has not texted him back after their kiss. He discovers a humorous group chat in which his roommates are teasing Dean about being caught in a bathtub with a dildo (a reference to a scene from a previous book in the series). Before morning practice, Tucker has a supportive phone call with his mother, telling her he’s met someone new. He texts Sabrina again to ask her on a date. Later, Sabrina runs into her former fling, Beau. Beau reveals that Tucker approached him a week earlier to announce his intention to pursue her. He praises Tucker as a decent guy and advises Sabrina not to let her bias against hockey players stop her from giving him a chance. Sabrina tells Beau she was accepted into Harvard Law, and he congratulates her.

Chapter 12 Summary: “Sabrina”

Sabrina joins her friends Hope and Carin, who surprise her by inviting her to Tucker’s hockey game. After Sabrina tells them how seriously Tucker is pursuing her, she admits his attention makes her feel uncharacteristically vulnerable. Her friends advise her to relax and give him a chance, arguing that a relationship with a fellow busy student-athlete might be a good fit.
